For K-12 Teachers

Galleries Opening for Visits, by Reservation

This fall, as the College begins to allow outside visitors to come to campus, the museum looks forward to welcoming members of the general public into its galleries. When we open our fall 2021 exhibits on Tuesday, September 14 access to the museum will at first be limited to members of the Middlebury College campus community. As our staff capacity increases, we look forward to the possibility of welcoming K-12 teachers and their school groups into our galleries. For more information about scheduling school group visits to the museum this fall, please contact Jason Vrooman, Chief Curator and Director of Engagement.

The Middlebury College Museum of Art invites school groups of all ages to explore art from its permanent collection and special exhibitions for 2019–2020.

Our programs encourage students to make connections between works of art from different cultures and time periods and their own experiences. School programs at the Museum also address many of the goals in Vermont’s K–12 academic standards, especially in the Visual Arts, Language Arts, and Social Studies.

School programs at the Middlebury College Museum of Art are made possible by generous support from the Arthur and Helen Baer Charitable Foundation with additional funding from the Middlebury College Friends of the Art Museum.
