Student Friends of the Art Museum

Welcome to the Middlebury College Museum of Art!

We represent more than 1,300 students who comprise the Student Friends of the Art Museum, and we look forward to meeting you at the Museum, located in the Mahaney Center for the Arts. The Museum’s collection spans the history of art and includes works by Rembrandt, Picasso, Rauschenberg, Matisse, and Warhol among many others.

L-R: Shepard Fairey, Obama “Hope” campaign poster, 2008; Pablo Picasso, Sueno y Mentira de Franco (detail), 1937; Andy Warhol, Marilyn, 1967; and Rembrandt van Rijn, Self Portrait, c. 1631.

Please stop by to see the Museum and register to become a member. Membership in the Museum is free for Middlebury College Students! All new members will receive a gift (either a T-shirt, poster, Nalgene bottle, or mug) and will be invited to attend a number of student-only events scheduled at the museum during the academic year, including trips and exhibit openings catered by local restaurants and food vendors. Signing up as a member will also guarantee that you receive news of all of our exhibitions, receptions, lectures, and dinners that are open to the community at large, and you can begin to enjoy your other benefits, such as a 15% discount at the Museum bookstore, and opportunities to participate in larger members’ trips at a reduced rate. Signing up is so easy, you can even do it online simply by adding your email address to our student listserv.

We look forward to seeing you throughout the year. And don’t forget, membership is free!
