There are many different departments and disciplines at the college that incorporate museum objects and exhibitions into their syllabi.

Examples of courses recently taught in conjunction with exhibitions and collections include a first year seminar focusing on Treasures from the Royal Tombs of Ur, taught by Pieter Broucke; “African Art, Museums, and the Politics of Representation” taught by visiting assistant professor Wendy Grossman in conjunction with Resonance from the Past: African Sculpture from the New Orleans Museum of Art; and “The Social Lives of Ceramics in Asia and Beyond” taught by Colin Mackenzie using examples from the Museum’s rich collection of Asian ceramics.
