Illustrated Lecture
Time: 4:30pm
Location: Mahaney Center for the Arts, Room 125

Richard Dupont, sculptor, installation artist, and printmaker

Sculptor, installation artist, and printmaker Richard Dupont (b. 1968) employs digital technology to produce drawings, prints, sculptures and installations that explore opportunities for self-surveillance and the perception of identity in an increasingly data-reliant world. Three of Dupont’s drawings and a polyurethane cast of his own head comprise an exhibition of his work on view at the museum from October 25 through December 11. Highlighting both the malleability and complexity of the information available to him, Dupont plays with the conception of self by distorting and altering the data—and therefore, his own image.
