Richard Saunders, director of the Middlebury College Museum of Art and Walter Cerf Distinguished College Professor. In this lecture Saunders will discuss the journey taken to build an art collection for the Middlebury College Museum of Art since his arrival in 1985. His talk will consider such important ingredients as a compass, luck, patience, money, expertise, creativity, and friends, all of which have been essential elements in determining the direction the collection has taken.
