Sabra Field '57, iconic Vermont artist and Middlebury alumna, will discuss some of the collateral images that led to the ones she selected for Middlebury’s newest work of public art: the monumental mural titled “Cosmic Geometry.” The mural project for the east wall of Wright Memorial Theatre was first proposed in the fall of 2009 by Art History major Kate Lupo ’10, and has since been approved and financially supported by the Middlebury College Committee on Art in Public Places, DoSomething.org, as well as generous Middlebury parents, alumni, and friends.

Introduction and remarks by Richard Saunders, director of the Middlebury College Museum of Art, Walter Cerf Distinguished College Professor, and Chair, Committee on Art in Public Places; and Kate Lupo '10
