2014: The 16th Annual Arts Awards Program

Each year the Friends of the Middlebury College Museum of Art recognize students, artists, teachers, and leaders in the visual arts who live or work in Addison County for distinction in the visual arts. This recognition program encourages appreciation of the visual arts in the community by recognizing individuals who have made outstanding contributions either through creative achievement or support of the visual arts.

This year, and in even-numbered years, we will award adults in the community: artists, teachers, volunteers, and leaders in the visual arts. Next year, and in odd-numbered years, we will give awards to school children whose work is included in county- wide “Spring into the Arts” exhibitions in Middlebury, Bristol, and Vergennes. Each year we will recognize a Middlebury College student for outstanding work in or support of the visual arts.

To nominate someone for an award, please use one of our digital submission forms. There are two forms, one to nominate a Middlebury College student, and one to nominate a member of the Addison County community. Deadline for submission of nominations is Thursday, March 20, 2014.

If you have additional questions about the annual Arts Awards program, please contact Mikki Lane, Coordinator of Events, at (802) 443-2309 or via email.
