Arts Awards

Each year the Friends of the Middlebury College Museum of Art recognize students, artists, teachers, and leaders in the visual arts who live or work in Addison County for distinction in the visual arts. This recognition program encourages appreciation of the visual arts in the community by recognizing individuals who have made outstanding contributions either through creative achievement or support of the visual arts.

This year and in odd-numbered years in the future we will give awards to school children whose work is included in county-wide “Spring into the Arts” exhibitions in Middlebury, Bristol, and Vergennes. Beginning in 2014 and in even-numbered years we will award adults in the community: artists, teachers, volunteers, and leaders in the visual arts. Each year we will recognize a Middlebury College student for outstanding work in or support of the visual arts.

Nomination forms for the 2013 Middlebury College Art Award are available here.
