Virtual Reality Experience

Location: Museum of Art, Johnson Gallery

** In response to the spread of COVID-19, this event has been cancelled. **

The museum’s current exhibition Weimar, Dessau, Berlin: The Bauhaus as School and Laboratory includes a experiential station that allows visitors to explore the Bauhaus school in Dessau in virtual reality. Come create a performance on the Bauhaus stage, make a sculpture in one of the school’s workshops, get a glimpse of student life, and explore the architecture of the Dessau building, inside and out.

The Virtual Bauhaus experience will be available in the museum during the following times:

Making Waves (**CANCELLED**)

Illustrated Lecture

Location: Mahaney Arts Center, Room 125

Hong Chun Zhang, artist


** In response to the spread of COVID-19, this event has been cancelled. **

Chinese-born and Kansas-based artist Hong Chun Zhang makes detailed large-scale charcoal drawings of hair that explore the notions of culture and identity. Zhang shares her experiences of studying traditional ink art in China and making waves in the American art scene while keeping one foot on each shore.
