Jim Blair, Photographer
Long-time photographer Jim Blair will share his observations about Paul Strand’s working method and choice of subjects, as well as some thoughts on his approach to printing, toning, and cropping. He will also elaborate on Strand’s use of a Deardorff camera and provide additional insights into the workings of the camera, an example of which is on loan to the exhibit from Blair’s collection. Offered in conjunction with the museums current exhibition Paul Strand in Vermont: 1943–1946.
