Employment

At present there are no open positions for full- or part-time staff at the Museum. For further information about staff or faculty employment opportunities at Middlebury College please visit the human resources webpage.

For Middlebury College students the museum offers five paid academic year internships, and three paid summer internships. The academic year internships include three positions in the education department, two in the registrar’s office, and one in the curatorial department. Summer internships include one position each in the education department, the curatorial department, and the registrar’s office.

The Museum also hires part-time student receptionists to greet the public during open hours, answer visitor questions, and operate the Museum Store.

Students may also volunteer for the Museum Assistants Program (MAP). Museum Assistants are trained Middlebury College student tour guides who assist with or give tours to school groups. In addition, students involved in the MAP program now have the opportunity to receive course credits related to their participation.
